“And he took the cup,, and gave thanks, and fave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;
For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.” St. Matthew 26:27-28

What Is Consecration?

How to prepare for Consecration

If you plan to worship from home, the Authentic Communion Meal consists of the following ingredients.

  • Lamb
  • Unleavened bread (see recipe below)
  • Bitter herbs (mixed greens)
  • Salt water
  • Wine
  • Boiled egg
  • Haroset -use crunchy granola

Recipe for unleavened bread

  • 1 c. flour
  • 3 tbsp. sugar
  • 1/3 tsp. salt
  • 1/3 c. shortening
  • 2 – 2 1/2 tbsp. milk

Sift flour, sugar and salt together. Cut in shortening using two knives. Add a little bit of milk at a time, and only enough to form into a dough. Roll dough (using a floured or silicone rolling pin) to 1/4 inch thick. A silicone pastry rolling mat, such as a Silpat will help keep the dough from sticking to the board without the need to add too much flour. Cut into 1/2 inch squares. Bake at 375°F for 15-20 minutes or until done

Bitter herbs dressing:

  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 Red wine vinegar
  • Parsley
  • Basil
  • Oregano
  • Tarragon

Salt/Pepper to taste Mix well and pour over mixed greens

P. S.  Some togo containers will be available on Sunday to take if you choose not to stay for in-person worship.
