Title: “There’s a Leak Somewhere”

Today I opened a piece of mail from the water company to see that my bill has a little
more than doubled this month from what it’s been. I was also informed me that there must
be a leak somewhere on the property and that I need to get a professional out as soon as
possible to locate the problem and repair it or my cost will continue to escalate. There
was no evidence prior to receiving this letter that I even had a problem, but looking at the
amount that I now have to pay, it’s REAL clear that something’s amiss underneath the
surface. We’ve been real good and disciplined about water usage in the house, but the
situation apparently had been getting out of hand underneath the foundation and it wasn’t
until the bill arrived that I found out about excess water is getting out. I have a bad leak
somewhere.

I then began wondering how many of us in the body of Christ have a problem brewing
underneath our foundation that’s about to become problematic and we are not paying
enough attention to it. It’s quite possible that our focus is only on what we can see and
hear in the natural and since everything appears to be okay, we’re not getting deep enough
into the soil of God’s word to discover the leakage below. There’s a grave danger in
allowing yourself to only have a minimal level of understanding of God’s holy word. The
devil is like a roaring lion seeking who he may devour, and if we don’t give ample, quality
time to the Word of God, we put ourselves at risk of being rotted out over time and unable
to properly carry the flow of the spirit.

Jesus told a woman at a well that if she knew who it was that she was talking to, she
would have gladly asked Him to give her the water that He had. Her failure was that she
didn’t have a clue who she had standing right in front of her. So often we forget that we
have the Almighty and All Powerful Lord standing right in front of us ready to fight our
battles. We worry as if He can’t work it out. We stress as if He can’t straighten it out. We
hide as if He can’t find us out. Have we forgotten just how great our God is? If you’re
allowing life’s issues to adversely affect your attitude and your level of service, then yes –
you have forgotten.

I guarantee you one thing, if you are trying in this season of your life to raise the standard
of Christian living, then you better know that the devil is working hard to shake you from
your foundation. Open your spiritual eyes and recognize that we wrestle not against flesh
and blood but against spiritual wickedness in high places. Don’t allow yourself to become
comfortable with service beneath your best. You’re too valuable to the work of the
kingdom to be mediocre and the enemy knows it. Guard your walk and walk with your
guard up!

EVERYTHING WE DO MOVING FORWARD WILL BE INTENTIONAL AND DRIVEN WITH
PURPOSE TO REPRESENT THE KINGDOM OF GOD IN THE BEST POSSIBLE LIGHT!
NOTHING WILL BE DONE WITH ENERGY LESS THAN OUR BEST AND EFFORT BELOW
OUR MAXIMUM POTENTIAL.

OUR SERVICE IS LOCAL, BUT OUR REACH IS GLOBAL – SO WE CANNOT REDUCE OUR
PRESENTATION DOWN TO WHAT’S CONVENIENT, BUT RATHER WE MUST RAISE IT TO
THAT WHICH IS EXPLOSIVE!

Get ready for major change that’s coming systematically, intellectually, purposefully, and
professionally. Nothing we do moving forward will be done haphazardly, sloppily, poorly,
or carnally.

We Are the LIGHT!

Sincerely,
