Title: “The START of a Better FUTURE”
Last night I shared with the body of Christ a sermon entitled, “My Future is Looking REAL
Good.” The message was orchestrated from the words of Paul who said to the church in
Corinth, “Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the
things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” We talked about how even
though all of us have a past, some people go out of their way to Remind you of yours,
Retell others all that they’ve heard about you, and Remember every detail of your story.
However, no matter what they’ve discovered about you or what they feel they have over
you, they cannot affect or infect what God has planned for you.
Today is the greatest day of your life because it is the day that you can affect the journey in
front of you by choosing the right path before you. When you woke up this morning I hope
you were reminded of just how much God loves you and what potential He’s placed in at
your disposal. Not only did He have the power to remove you from this world, but He had
the right to do so as well. The good news is…He chose to give you another day. He
considered your failures against the plans He already put in place for your future and
determined that you were still worthy to receive.
It’s good to give Him thanks today for the mercy shown, but I challenge you to take it to
another level and begin working on a plan to make Him proud of your next move. Show
the Lord that you are more than grateful for this life but you’re committed to make
something very special with this time given. In the words of Paul, “forget the things that are
behind you and reach for the things that are before you.” There is power of success in you
because you are His child and you have the backing of the blood. Everything that the
enemy meant for your bad, God made something good come from it and He’s showing
you that what you went through was only meant to make you wiser and stronger.
Every morning is a new opportunity to set a course for a bigger and brighter future. There’s
nothing too hard for God so since He’s your keeper and provider why not take full
advantage of what He has to offer. At the Light we are striving for standards of excellence
in everything we do for the Kingdom of God. Our territory is so much greater than the
5.15 acres on Lee road. Our address may be Lithia Springs, but our reach is global and it’s
time that we move forward making the future look REAL good!
There’s no assignment to big or task to tedious because we know that only what we do for
Christ will last.
EVERYTHING WE DO MOVING FORWARD WILL BE INTENTIONAL AND DRIVEN WITH
PURPOSE TO REPRESENT THE KINGDOM OF GOD IN THE BEST POSSIBLE LIGHT!
NOTHING WILL BE DONE WITH ENERGY LESS THAN OUR BEST AND EFFORT BELOW
OUR MAXIMUM POTENTIAL.
OUR SERVICE IS LOCAL, BUT OUR REACH IS GLOBAL – SO WE CANNOT REDUCE OUR
PRESENTATION DOWN TO WHAT’S CONVENIENT, BUT RATHER WE MUST RAISE IT TO
THAT WHICH IS EXPLOSIVE!
Get ready for major change that’s coming systematically, intellectually, purposefully, and
professionally. Nothing we do moving forward will be done haphazardly, sloppily, poorly,
or carnally.
We Are the LIGHT!
