From: The Pastor’s Heart
Honestly, at the time I’m typing this word to you, it’s 7:07a.m. and I have not been to sleep
at all. I’ve been up now for a little more than 24-hours. It’s not due to illness, worry, or
any negative emotion, but it’s the voice of the Lord that I’ve been hearing all through the
night about the direction and impression our ministry is headed. There’s a surge of energy
and creativity being offered to those who desire to be involved in advancing the kingdom
of God through precision and purpose. Not only at the Light, but to the Body of Christ at
large whose heart and focus is to make sure that God receives the glory from their labor
I’m hearing the Lord calling us to a purpose of Intentionality in Effective Ministry. This
means that we must plan well and execute flawlessly the standards and doctrine that He’s
entrusted into our care. Remember when David wanted to build the Lord a house where
His spirit could reside permanently? It was truly in his heart to do this, but he was not
allowed to build because he was a man of war.
The Lord’s mercy, however, was visited upon David’s son, Solomon, and the house was
eventually built under his reign and leadership. It’s recorded in I. Chronicles 28:9 that
David said to his son, “Know the God of your father, and serve Him with a loyal heart and
with a willing mind; for the Lord searches all hearts and understands all intent of the
thoughts. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will cast
you off forever.”
I sense the graciousness of the Lord in this season for us if we have willing hearts and
disciplined spirits to represent Him well. We must move away from all pettiness of
discourse and debate in the Body of Christ and work like the strong team of believers that
we are. We must give generously and ungrudgingly so our goal of financial freedom can
be experienced in many homes in the church once it is reached for the church.
You should do all you can to join with me tonight as we study His word together. The
resistance and refusal from some to be spiritually mature through sound teaching and
accountability is not only dangerous to the individual, but also to the body. Search the
heart of God and follow the leadership of your shepherd. There’s a kingdom movement
EVERYTHING WE DO MOVING FORWARD WILL BE INTENTIONAL AND DRIVEN WITH
PURPOSE TO REPRESENT THE KINGDOM OF GOD IN THE BEST POSSIBLE LIGHT!
NOTHING WILL BE DONE WITH ENERGY LESS THAN OUR BEST AND EFFORT BELOW
OUR MAXIMUM POTENTIAL.
