Title: “It’s the LORD’S Doing”

I was encouraging a middle age person the other day to not become discouraged because
their long awaited dream of certain success was seemingly being realized in someone
else. This person was so sure that this was the season and the time of God’s promise. They
remembered all of the challenges from others along the way who could not see what they
saw and the difficulty experienced when close friends would or could not validate and
stand in agreement with their dream. I told them that it’s hard for some people to latch on
to what only God’s shown you, but just because you don’t get earthly confirmation, it
doesn’t mean that God’s forgotten about you. It may be that it’s just not the right time. It
may be that it’s just not according to HIS time.

Today there was a meeting in in our nation’s capital that involved (among others),
President Barak Obama, Senator Harry Reid, and Senator Bernie Sanders. Not being privy
to the details of the meeting my intuition tells me that there were discussions surrounding
Senator’s Sanders willingness or unwillingness to gracefully bow out of the race and begin
working on unifying the Democratic party. It appears to be difficult for Bernie to relinquish
his pursuit of the party’s nomination of him, but the writing’s on the wall. I could be
wrong, but it seems like he’s having a tough time letting go.

Goals and dreams are fascinating and by design, they are meant to become such a
passionate part of us. We see ourselves in places and positions that others may not
understand and if we’re so fortunate to actually come close to ascertaining the goal, it’s
hard to give up. It’s hard, but if it’s not God’s will for you at this time but for someone else
instead, then you have to be mature enough to accept God’s decision and help the other
person make it.

I’m just now seeing in my life some things take form that I felt should have happened
twenty years ago. I think about the many times I complained and even became angry that
God was not allowing me to walk into what I believed was my destined place. I remember
almost quitting a few times because not only was I not getting the reward, but I was being
instructed to high-five the person beside me who was receiving it instead. Yes, it’s a hard
pill to swallow and I’m not about to tell you that it’s easy, but that’s not the point. It’s not
about how YOU feel about it, it’s about how GOD feels about it.

He knows the plans for our lives better than we ever will and a Delay doesn’t have to
mean a Deny. Remember, Christian character is not only defined by what you do with the
blessing, but it’s also how you respond when you don’t get the blessing. Look around
today and ask yourself if you’re being mature or childish about what God’s doing for
someone else that you thought should have been done for you. All I can say is, this IS THE
LORD’S DOING. Accept it and help your fellow man maximize what God’s done.

EVERYTHING WE DO MOVING FORWARD WILL BE INTENTIONAL AND DRIVEN WITH
PURPOSE TO REPRESENT THE KINGDOM OF GOD IN THE BEST POSSIBLE LIGHT!
NOTHING WILL BE DONE WITH ENERGY LESS THAN OUR BEST AND EFFORT BELOW
OUR MAXIMUM POTENTIAL.

OUR SERVICE IS LOCAL, BUT OUR REACH IS GLOBAL – SO WE CANNOT REDUCE OUR
PRESENTATION DOWN TO WHAT’S CONVENIENT, BUT RATHER WE MUST RAISE IT TO
THAT WHICH IS EXPLOSIVE!

Get ready for major change that’s coming systematically, intellectually, purposefully, and
professionally. Nothing we do moving forward will be done haphazardly, sloppily, poorly,
or carnally.

We Are the LIGHT!

Sincerely,
