Title: “Get the JOB Done ”
My garage door, for the last few days, has been inoperable, because the main cable used
to evenly lift and lower it broke away from it’s base. Initially I attempted to fix it myself,
but soon discovered that I did not have the required part nor was it available for purchase
at the local home improvement store. The only option before me was to contact and
contract a trained repairman who specializes in this work and whose company happens to
manufacture and distribute the needed item.
I watched him as he laboriously performed his duty and it caused me to think about the
line of work that we are in and the enormous need in the community for our knowledge
and skill set to be on point. This repairman had no idea that I would be calling him to help
me with something of which I could not handle on my own. He had never met me before
and had no idea of the severity of my dilemma or the quandary I was in with not being
able to raise and lower my door. When he arrived at my home it was very hot outside and
the task before him was challenging, but he also understood that he was called out
specially for this challenge.
It’s imperative that we understand the great conflicts around us and the enormous number
of people who need true experts in the field of teaching and witnessing about the
goodness of the Lord. People are seriously perplexed with a multiplicity of issues, burdens,
and spiritual attacks that they cannot handle or resolve on their own. The believers in the
body of Christ cannot be ill equipped and unprepared to address these life altering
problems, but rather we must be ready to pull people up who are desperately sinking in
sin. We have to remain well versed in the word of God so we can diagnose the illness and
then prescribe the best medicine by chapter and verse.
It’s not enough to love the Lord for yourself or have a solid walk with Him, but we are our
brother’s keepers and our lives our meant to impact others daily. Those of us who attend
church every week will be viewed by the world around us as those who should have a
greater understanding of God’s power and the ability to operate under His anointing.
Because we have signed up to be on the Lord’s side and are not soldiers in the army of the
Lord, then we must be adapt at addressing the many occurrences that will come up and
need a true witness.
My prayer today for you is that you continue a purposed driven commitment to study
God’s word and work diligently on perfecting your declaration of Him. You never know
when somebody’s going to call and need you to fix their door and reattach their cable.
Remember, you have the tools, you have the parts, you have the training, and now you
have the assignment. “Let’s Get the JOB Done!”
EVERYTHING WE DO MOVING FORWARD WILL BE INTENTIONAL AND DRIVEN WITH
PURPOSE TO REPRESENT THE KINGDOM OF GOD IN THE BEST POSSIBLE LIGHT!
NOTHING WILL BE DONE WITH ENERGY LESS THAN OUR BEST AND EFFORT BELOW
OUR MAXIMUM POTENTIAL.
OUR SERVICE IS LOCAL, BUT OUR REACH IS GLOBAL – SO WE CANNOT REDUCE OUR
PRESENTATION DOWN TO WHAT’S CONVENIENT, BUT RATHER WE MUST RAISE IT TO
THAT WHICH IS EXPLOSIVE!
Get ready for major change that’s coming systematically, intellectually, purposefully, and
professionally. Nothing we do moving forward will be done haphazardly, sloppily, poorly,
or carnally.
We Are the LIGHT!
Sincerely,
Pastor J.E. Chandler, Sr.
