Title: “Are U Wearing UR GLASSES?”

Don’t judge me for what I’m about to share with you because though it may not be your
struggle, I must admit it’s mine. What am I referring to? Wearing my GLASSES. Yep, that’s
it…I confess. I have to now wear my reading glasses almost ALL of the time. There was a
time, long ago, if someone texted me I could just simply grab my phone, put in my code,
and read the message. Or if I was at a favorite restaurant I could easily browse through the
menu and order whatever I desired with ease. Those days, however, are gone. Now, if I
want to make sure I order the steak and not the shake, I better have my specs on.

It’s amazing how time brings about a change and it was hard admitting that my vision was
no longer what it used to be. I knew that time had arrived when I received a text from a
colleague asking me to join him and a group of pastors for a meeting at 3:00 p.m., but I
thought it read 8:00 p.m. Needless to say, I missed that meeting. So today, I’m asking how
many of us are missing what the Lord is showing in this season because we are not
wearing our ‘spiritual eye glasses’?

Perfect vision is critical as a believer because there are things that God will show us that
cannot be perceived incorrectly. Spiritual Glasses are equivalent to expanded knowledge
and wisdom of Kingdom principles, disciplines, and concepts. Some things we learn from
reading God’s word, but others we will only understand when we live according to His
word. This means that even though we learn in bible study of the need for forgiveness, we
won’t know the true Power of it until we actually forgive.

The author of Hebrews writes about his desire to explain the more impactful and deep
truths of God’s word, but because of his audiences’ lack of knowledge, he’s unable to
share. He says, (Hebrews 5:11-12) “Concerning this we have much to say which is hard to
explain, since you have become dull in your [spiritual] hearing and sluggish [even slothful
achieving spiritual insight]. For even though by this time you ought to be teaching others,
you actually need someone to teach you over again the very first principles of God’s
Word.”

I really felt bad missing that meeting, not because I was too busy to attend, but because I
was too proud to put on my glasses. I wonder how many of us have allowed ourselves to
miss the deep and profound truths of God because we were reluctant to see Him clearly
through acts of absolute faith and compliance in the word. You see my glasses were right
there in the case on my nightstand, and we have the bible with us at all times in our
phones and tablets. The question is, why won’t we get that word more often and dig into it
and live each day like we should? We must acknowledge that God has so much more for
us to do, but He needs more of us to work with. It’s time that we stop trying to hold on to
who we once were and accept who He’s called us to be. Don’t miss what God has for
you. Are U Wearing ur GLASSES? If not, go put them on now!

EVERYTHING WE DO MOVING FORWARD WILL BE INTENTIONAL AND DRIVEN WITH
PURPOSE TO REPRESENT THE KINGDOM OF GOD IN THE BEST POSSIBLE LIGHT!
NOTHING WILL BE DONE WITH ENERGY LESS THAN OUR BEST AND EFFORT BELOW
OUR MAXIMUM POTENTIAL.

OUR SERVICE IS LOCAL, BUT OUR REACH IS GLOBAL – SO WE CANNOT REDUCE OUR
PRESENTATION DOWN TO WHAT’S CONVENIENT, BUT RATHER WE MUST RAISE IT TO
THAT WHICH IS EXPLOSIVE!

Get ready for major change that’s coming systematically, intellectually, purposefully, and
professionally. Nothing we do moving forward will be done haphazardly, sloppily, poorly,
or carnally.

We Are the LIGHT!

Sincerely,
